This page states what is present in the candidate experience today — and what is not yet active — without overstating either.
Before an assessment
Depending on how the organization configures the assessment, a candidate may receive information about:
- AI use,
- recording,
- camera and microphone requirements,
- screen monitoring,
- assessment rules.
Only what an assessment actually enables is shown to the candidate.
AI disclosure
Candidates are informed when AI is used in an assessment.
Current participation limitation
Candidate-facing AI acceptance and decline controls are being implemented and are not currently active.
Concerns and review
Candidates can raise concerns through the hiring or certifying organization. A structured in-product candidate appeal flow is in progress.
No automatic rejection from a single signal
Within the verified scope of integrity handling, no single integrity signal automatically rejects a candidate; signals are reviewed by a human.
AI-free alternatives
SkillCort does not guarantee or automatically create an AI-free alternative assessment. An organization may choose to offer a separate process.
Recording and device permissions
- A browser permission is not the same as legal consent.
- The organization configures what an assessment monitors.
- Camera, screen, and microphone capture are each turned on per assessment and are shown to you on the consent screen before the exam starts.
- A reviewer may ask AI to help scan an assessment's webcam images and point to frames worth a closer look. It never makes or changes a decision — a person reviews and decides.
- Candidate notices and legal requirements may vary by assessment and region.
